Short Projects
In addition to our main research lines we offer short projects from time to time that students can take on to gain experience working in an experimental physics laboratory. Interested in one of the projects below? Get in touch with its contact person, or just come and visit the lab.
Optical Cavity for Atoms 原子光學共振腔
Developing high-finesse optical cavities for interacting atoms with photons — the building block behind cavity QED, superradiant lasers and atom–photon quantum interfaces.
Ti:Sapphire Linewidth Narrowing 鑭藍寶石雷射線寬窄化
We will develop a high-finesse optical cavity and lock a titanium-sapphire laser to it to narrow the laser's linewidth — the standard technique behind today's most stable lasers.
Rydberg Spectroscopy with an Atomic Beam Source 原子束里德堡光譜
We will assemble a simplified oven-based atomic beam source to provide a high-flux atom source for Rydberg spectroscopy — probing giant, highly excited atoms with wildly exaggerated properties.
Miniature Atom Sources & 3D-Printed UHV Systems 微型原子源與 3D 列印真空系統
With the help of AI we will design and 3D-print miniature ultrahigh-vacuum systems and atom sources suitable for future quantum-technology applications.
