Join Our Lab
Everyone involved in each project is an integral part of our team. We encourage both local and international students and researchers who are interested in learning more about our research to contact us to discuss opportunities, both short and long term. In addition, we actively encourage and support collaborations with interested students and academics at other research institutions.
Accommodation support for students studying at universities across Taiwan: We can provide private, free dormitories for students from other universities across Taiwan who come to Taipei for short-term experiments. This allows students to leverage the vast and advanced resources at IAMS to conduct focused experimental work without burdening them with administrative hurdles.

Living in Taipei
An advanced economy: Taiwan is not just a global technology leader and the heart of the world's advanced chip industry. It is also one of the safest and most free places to live in the world. Taiwan's economy boasts one of the highest GDP per capita (PPP) in the world. The standard of living is comparable to the Netherlands and Denmark. Taiwan has a low tax rate and one of the most efficient public health care systems in the world. Taipei is a vibrant and exciting city with 24-hour convenience that is hard to match elsewhere.
Culture: Just a few minutes' walk from our lab you will find hundreds of exquisite yet inexpensive restaurants waiting to be explored. These offer not just traditional Taiwanese foods but also cuisine from across Asia and the world. Taiwan is one of the best places to learn Chinese Mandarin, with students coming from across the world to study here. Explore the culture, temples, art and history of one of the world's oldest civilizations.
Natural beauty: "Formosa", Portuguese for "beautiful", was the name European explorers gave to Taiwan. Taiwan is home to incredible natural beauty with lush tropical rainforests, rugged mountains and beaches all just a short trip away. For the more adventurous, mountaineers from around the world come to scale Taiwan's mountains, with more than 100 peaks over 3000 meters high.
